The new collection of cyanotypes
Discover our new brand CARPË with their cyanotypes
The cyanotype process is a photographique technique invented in 1842 that we wanted to bring up to date. We live in a digital period where we feel the need for connection with nature and craftsmanship using a source of natural light: the sun!
Our cyanotypes are made on high quality Bristol paper covered by a light-sensitive product. Carefully selected subjects will be exposed to sunlight on the paper. Rinsed in clear water the process is stopped to bring out a vibrant prussian blue print without any ink.
Our cyanotypes are handmade, mounted in their natural wood frames with a coppery signature. As each print is printed manually, the shades of blue vary subtly and make the artwork absolutely unique. The pieces are numbered.
